Humour me guys, please. Simple to some people but for an oldie like me, it's fun! June 06 Age is just a numberI have just discovered that there are 3 spaces available to enter your age in your profile. Now admittedly you can enter 50+, if you don't want people to know that you're nearer to 60 than 50, but what fun to think that Windows Live are expecting 100+ year old people to own a Spaces blog!!! More in half a century . . . . May 04 Testing Live WriterThis is a bit like Word and a blog rolled in to one. Nice clear easy to follow layout - even for the not-so-techy older generation like myself. And it has a spell checker!! I would have said that apart from the prettiness it doesn't have a lot more use than a general blog posting system BUT, I remember the not-so-good old days of my dial-up connection when the Internet would suddenly disappear for no apparent reason and I was left wondering what I had written and could I be bothered to start again! Yes, most blogs have an automatic save now but who's to say it would have saved my work before the connection was lost?! With this, you can write a blog whenever and wherever you like and then connect to the Internet, when possible, to publish - even setting the actual publishing date! Liking it more as I write. You can't normally play with images and text like this . . .
April 08 Signing OutBack to school today so my chance to test out Windows Live. No problem with logging in, so thinking all was well. Oops! Doesn't work like that! Although I can log in I can't go any further as no matter what I tried, Inbox, Friends, Photos etc, none of it was accessible due to the County Educational blocking system. So sorry guys looks like Tumblr is the only blog that can get through the system and as Facebook is still the nicest and most entertaining way to keep in touch with friends, I really have no use for this account. Have to say though, you're still the best designwise. Good luck!  March 25 Starting OutI currently have a blog with Blogger, another with Tumbler and also an account on Facebook but just wanted to see how this one works. Obviously not as entertaining as Facebook but it certainly has more gadgets than my blogs have. The ultimate test will be after the Easter holiday when I return to work in a school and see if I can actually access this account there. Time will tell.  |
